Winter is cold and snowy, with a daily average of −3 to −12 °C (26 to 10 °F) in February. The wind chill, however, often makes the temperature feel lower to exposed skin.
Although winter is indeed cold, Montrealers have learned to make the best of it and their joie de vivre is always present! And if you don’t want to go outside, just wander through Montréal's extensive underground city, from the Congress hotel – the Intercontinental – and surface at the nearest museum, shop or restaurant!
Montreal is very easy to reach via all modes of transport. Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport has frequent connections to cities in the US, Europe, Latin America and the rest of Canada and is a 20-minute ride from downtown. Montreal’s Central Train Station is also right downtown, and a 5-minute ride from the Congress hotel.
